Album Review
Crashdiet – “Generation Wild”
Generation Wild is the latest disc from Swedish glam metal act Crashdiet. After a brief intro things get kicked off with a bang. “Armageddon” is classic Crashdiet and really sets the tone for the rest of the disc which is jam packed with big choruses, edgy guitars and well-written songs. The production on this disc is worth mentioning as well; it is big, crisp and clean, the perfect combination for this type of music.

I think Crashdiet would have hit it out of the park with this disc if they hadn’t dropped the ball by including two ballads. “Save Her” comes at about the halfway point of the disc and I think it really ruins the momentum by slowing things way down. The disc comes to a close with another fun killer; “Beautiful Pain” is a decent song, but placed where it is I think it just ends things on the wrong note. Bottom line I like Generation Wild and think fans of the more commercial rock and roll will dig it as well.
