Exodus – “The Atrocity Exhibition: Exhibit A”
With the release of their latest disc The Atrocity Exhibition, thrash metal recording artists Exodus are once again proving that they are a force to be reckoned with. A brutal attack from the very beginning The Atrocity Exhibition is a perfect example of why this band has had such staying power over the years. Exodus has not changed their formula much since their inception in 1982, after all, why changes something that works?

The San Francisco based Exodus is one of the original thrash bands in a movement hailing from back in the early eighties. Along with Testament, Death Angel and Anthrax, the band helped define the thrash metal genre.
“Call to Arms” kicks things off and from then on the band lays down a continuous blistering assault of guitars and thunderous drums, courtesy of original skinsman Tom Huntings, that will have your neck snapping in no time at all. Vocalist Rob Dukes seems to have finally found his groove on this, his second, release with the band and track after pounding track he his voice is full of venom. Highlights include the title track “The Atrocity Exhibition” and “The Garden Of Bleeding.”
The Atrocity Exhibition hits hard and doesn’t let up. It is a worthy release from a legendary band and the product is what could be the genre’s strongest statement of the year.
The Atrocity Exhibition proves how relevant and noteworthy the music of Exodus still is. It’s a valuable addition to any collection, or a jumping off point for anyone that wants to learn about this great band.
