Rarity Return with New Tracks “Keep It To Yourself” and “OKAY”
Rarity have returned with their two new songs, “Keep It To Yourself” and “OKAY,” from their eagerly awaited third full-length album.
Beloved Canadian post-hardcore trailblazers Rarity have returned with their first new music in 3 years! Today, the revered four-piece has released two new songs, “Keep It To Yourself” and “OKAY,” from their eagerly awaited, yet-to-be-revealed third full-length album due out later this year from New Damage Records.
Rarity vocalist Loeden Learn remarks on the track “Keep It To Yourself”:
“‘Keep It To Yourself’ is a song about the daily mental struggle that keeps us locked in, unable to even leave our room. It captures the challenge of mustering the energy to simply socialize with friends and family, even when you’re otherwise comfortable with them and see them most days. It depicts the difficulty of accomplishing the simplest tasks, such as picking up the phone when someone texts or calls, cleaning up after yourself, and even taking care of basic human needs like eating or personal hygiene. Times get tough, and your mind isn’t always your friend. It illustrates how a house can feel like a prison when your mind also feels like one.”
