Emerging artist, Haiden, just released a new music video for his viral TikTok song “Can’t Hurt Me.” A preview to his upcoming debut EP, “Can’t Hurt Me” displays Haiden’s Shawn Mendes-like style that has garnered him over 4M views and 35K TikTok followers.
Following his ’90s and ’00s-inspired hits “Harmony” and “Welcome Home,” Haiden first took an unfinished version of “Can’t Hurt Me” to TikTok and the response was unbelievable as the song went mega-viral. A song about his ex’s red flags complimented by his smooth vocals, Haiden was quickly pressured by fans to finish the song which he said he did in only a week or two.
“When I posted this song on TikTok, it wasn’t even fully written, let alone recorded or produced. So for the past week, we’ve been working relentlessly to finish it and make it as impactful as I know it can be,” says Haiden. “I felt a specific type of pressure because ‘Can’t Hurt Me’ went viral in its rawest form; just me playing it on an acoustic guitar. This made producing it especially challenging because we didn’t want to take away from what made the song and the story special in the first place. I’m happy to say though, that its integrity has not only remained intact but has been amplified by the production. It is truly amazing.”
The introductory chords create anxiety as if there’s impending bad news… but then it becomes energized by the track’s beat-propelled vocals. Haiden’s powerhouse lyrics and unabated emotion play a key role in the dynamic music video created for the track, just released on February 4th.
