Indie rock band The Snuts came all the way from Scotland to Vancouver to deliver a highly energetic night with their “Millennials Tour” on March 16th at the Biltmore Cabaret.

The Vancouver crowd was more than ready to enjoy Jack Cochrane (vocals and guitar), Joe McGillveray (guitar), Callum ’29’ Wilson (bass), and Jordan ‘Joko’ Mackay (drums), taking them through their almost 10-year history and three studio Albums.

The opening piece was carried by local Jammers and your new favourite band, Fake Shark, who kept the attendants entrained with their original songs and System of a Down cover that vocalist Kevvy said he would not be going to do.

As soon as The Snuts hit the stage, the fans went crazy, and some Scottish fans wanted to rush to the front of the stage. However, it was a bit late for them because some die-hard fans had been there since before Fake Shark’s set, and they did not move from there.

They started their set with “Novastar,” from their highly anticipated third album, Millennials, which dropped last month on February 26th. They followed up with the single “Gloria” from the same album and “Yoyo.”

Hallelujah Moment” was the first song they performed from the second album, Burn the Empire. For their 8th, they did a track that sent the euphoria levels through the roof and even higher to the fans from their homeland, Scotland. I’m sure I saw a few of them almost hitting their heads on the sealing and waving their Scottish flags with extreme joy.

They continued their set and performed 15 songs, including “NPC,” “Burnside Down,” “Zuckerpunch,” “Deep Diving,” and “What’s Going On.” They closed with “Circle,” the last song of their previous album. They delivered a great show, but in the end, it looked like the 15 songs they performed were not enough for their fans, who could have gone for 15 more.
