Machine Head & Fear Factory Demolish Edmonton’s Midway Music Hall [Photos]
Machine Head, with Fear Factory, Orbit Culture, and Gates of Hell, blasted The Midway Music Hall in Edmonton with a night of metal music.
There must have been something in the air because Edmonton showed up ready to throw down and get unbelievably rowdy for this banger tour package. The pit was reminiscent of a bubbling cauldron on the brink of boiling over, and the front row was a tangle of twirling hair.
Travelling across North America and making a brief trudge through Canada’s frozen prairies, this current run of shows thankfully missed the deep freeze in Edmonton, just narrowly skirting sub-zero temperatures reaching -60 degrees Celsius with the wind chills just two weeks prior.
A pleasantly full house for the first metal gig of the year at the Midway Music Hall, with ravenous metalheads enjoying themselves to the fullest, kicking the year off with none other than one of the most head-bangable bands around. Needless to say, Machine Head set the bar and brought promise to a fulfilling year jammed with aggressive riffs you can’t help but bang your head to.
