Anthms Premiere Their Paper Bag “Better Parts” Music Video
Connecticut emo/pop-punk trio Anthms premiere their brand new self-produced music video for their latest single “Better Parts.”
If you’re seeking out some good vibes to start off the new year, you’ve arrived at the right place with our premiere of Anthms brand new music video for “Better Parts.” This is the first new music from the emo/alternative trio since the release of their Northeast Disease EP last spring.
The song is intense and a nice ode to 2010s emo and pop-punk. The accompanying video is pretty fun too, featuring the band and an unknown, rather restless paper bag-headed individual. The video clip was conceived of and directed by Anthms’ drummer Marc Prescott.
Commenting on the song, Prescott states:
“‘Better Parts’ acknowledges that there’s good and bad in everyone and the internal conflicts that come along with it. It’s about not giving up on trying to be better while hoping you aren’t given up on in the process.
“Connecticut emotion forever.”
It’s been a strong start for Anthms since their late 2021 beginning. Aside from Prescott, the band is rounded up by singer and guitarist Dante Salerno and bassist Sean Vogel. In the last two years, they have traversed their way around the Northeast, growing a strong regional following. One of their most memorable shows was acting as direct support for Motion City Soundtrack. Despite the youngness of the band, Prescott, Salerno and Vogel have known each other for over 15 years. Anthms is a pleasant addition to the emo genre. There will always be a special place for bands who are willing to work for it, and able to reel fans in with their honesty and their passion.
