The Used Make Long-Awaited UK Return at Manchester Academy (w/ Honey Revenge, The Home Team) [Photos]
US punks The Used made their long-awaited UK return with Honey Revenge and The Home Team joining them. Photos from the Manchester show here…
To say these dates are highly anticipated would be something of an understatement. It’s been five long years since US punk rock agitators The Used have made it to these waters. Fans have been left disappointed after cancellations while lockdown put pay to any plans to return.
It wasn’t just their hardcore fans who were excited about this return, with frontman Bert McCracken himself exclaiming, “Hello UK! Get ready to fucking rock ’cause The Used are comin’. We absolutely cannot wait to play for you. It’s been far too long, and we have missed you so much! You don’t wanna miss out! See you all there.”
For the winter run of dates, the band brought with them LA pop-rockers Honey Revenge, who arrived in the UK off the back of an extensive US tour and ahead of the release of their Retrovision album, and Seattle-based quartet The Home Team, whose history of DIY touring makes them perfect touring partners for the headliners.
Our photographer, Maryleen Photography, headed down to Manchester when the show rolled into town and brought back this awesome gallery of images.
