Nate Amor – “I Want You” [Song Review]
Accentuated by the poignant and superb vocals of Nate Amor, “I Want You” releases the palpable, thirsting energy of love.
Singer-songwriter Nate Amor recently released his new single/music video, “I Want You,” which follows on the heels of his latest long player, Keep Dreaming.
Originally from Minneapolis, Amor dropped his debut album, Long Five Days, in 2001. Since then, he has been featured on NBC’s The Voice, performed with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and has shared the stage with Train, Mat Kearney, and Marc Cohn.
Like 67 percent of all songs released since the ’60s, “I Want You” is about the universal human experience called love, the emotion we are all familiar with and mystified by.
With “I Want You,” Nate Amor evokes the overwhelming desire for love that resides in every human heart. The melody is alluring, a blend of rock-lite and alt-country. But what makes the song excellent is Amor’s vulnerability, a helplessness he bares without qualm. Utilizing his evocative, deliciously raspy voice, reminiscent of Greg Allman crossed with Michael Bolton, he expresses his smoldering yearning for the person he wants.
Accentuated by the poignant and superb vocals of Nate Amor, “I Want You” releases the palpable, thirsting energy of love.
