Hijack Hayley Dish Up Empowering Indie Nostalgia on “Pedestrian” Single Premiere
Singapore-based quartet Hijack Hayley dish up a slice of indie nostalgia on new single “Pedestrian.” Check out our premiere of the song here.
Rising Singapore-based indie-rock outfit Hijack Hayley are pleased to announce a brand new release with the arrival of “Pedestrian,” lifted from the upcoming debut EP Counterparts due this October.
Check out the premiere of the single release, which comes off the back of the band’s appearance at the F1 Singapore Grand Prix last week.
For fans of bands like Japanese Breakfast, Inhaler, Arctic Monkeys, and Kero Kero Bonito, the Singapore-based quartet already has a clutch of acclaimed singles, “Burning Bridges” and “Inside” under their belts ahead of the upcoming EP.
Delivering rousing, empowered guitars while channelling heartfelt lyrics through an infectious, wholesome dose of indie nostalgia, the twenty-somethings say: “This track talks about wanting to change the lull in one’s everyday life. Running away from the existing routines to seek high points. To be more charismatic and lovable. The track ends with a big instrumental finale that suggests the triumph of this adventure.”
Following on from their appearance at the F1 Singapore Grand Prix, the band has announced further dates:
09/30 – The Baybuddies Show, WE! Live House, Atrix Building
10/14 – EP Launch Party, Aliwal Arts Center
Hijack Hayley released their Counterparts EP on October 14th, 2023. For more information on the band, visit their Official Instagram Page.
