Heedless Elegance Get Harder and Heavier with Their Single “The Cure” [Premiere]
Hungarian metal unit Heedless Elegance has come out firing today with the debut of their latest single, “Carried Away.”
Heedless Elegance debut their brand-new single “The Cure,” and heavy is the theme of the day. It continues a productive 2023 for the Budapest, Hungary metal act after the release of singles “The Way of Every Loss” and “The Threads,” the latter featuring Tom Barber of Chelsea Grin.
Full of rage and exhilaration, “The Cure” comes off as absolutely earth-shattering. It’s perhaps the band’s most brutal track to date, setting the stage for what’s soon to come. The song was written as part of sessions for a new studio album. It offers a preview of the thematic and sonic core of what’s to come on their third studio record.
Discussing “The Cure” and how it relates to the new album, lead singer Samuel Konter says:
“Through doubts and hopes, the main character of our upcoming concept album finally begins their journey in a new world. Musically and lyrically, ‘The Cure’ follows the emotions through the stages of birth, both in literal/physical and theoretical meaning. Subsequently, the track is visceral, but cathartic. The new single is perhaps our most expansive work to date and shows fans a side of us they haven’t heard before.”
With their aggressive but graceful approach to death metal, Heedless Elegance may be Hungary’s most exciting metal act. The word has started to spread as the quintet has made their way around mainland Europe. They won quick acclaim upon the release of their debut album, 2019’s Wanderer. Second album, Libra, particularly impressed with its synergy of marvelous guitar work and merciless vocals.
As a unit, Heedless Elegance couples a high level of technical prowess with a storyteller’s approach to their music. Driven by atmosphere and emotion, this is a band that is on the verge of something very special.
