The Ghost Inside and Underoath (w/ We Came as Romans) Rip it Up in New Haven, CT [Photos]
The Ghost Inside and Underoath’s co-headlining tour is the only place to be! With support from Better Lovers and We Came as Romans, this tour just hit College Street Music Hall.
If you’re looking for the hottest thing this summer (next to, of course, the chronic heatwaves), then The Ghost Inside and Underoath’s co-headlining tour is the only place to be. With support from Better Lovers and We Came as Romans, this tour package has been one of the strongest we’ve seen all year. Despite it being a shared headliner, the crowd at College Street Music Hall was awfully transparent about the long-anticipated return of TGI to New Haven, CT (and the Northeast in general).
For this night, The Ghost Inside closed out the show to a packed-out venue. Fans of all ages, new and old, spilled out from all over the floor, bounced in their balcony seats, and gave the security guards a crowdsurfer workout throughout the entirety of their set. Both Underoath and The Ghost Inside played some of the most well-known tracks from throughout their discographies, with both bands playing their typical encore tracks right at the beginning of their sets (“Writing on the Walls” and “Engine 45,” respectively).
While Underoath has been out and about touring globally and releasing new albums, TGI’s emotional entrance onto the stage marked their triumphant return to cross-country shows. This band has undoubtedly demonstrated an immense amount of resilience and passion to our music scene and their community of fans over the last near-decade, and we couldn’t be more grateful to see them on stage in such a grand capacity.
