Cherryy Continues to Hussle; Premieres Her Single “Haunted House”
Cherryy has been working away at this longer than you know. The 18-year-old singer-songwriter is pleased to unveil her new single, “Haunted House.”
She may now just be getting the recognition she deserves, but Cherryy has been working away at this longer than you know. The 18-year-old singer-songwriter is pleased to unveil her new single, “Haunted House.”
The new single marks a really important moment in her career, as she aims to define herself as a musician and a voice for younger and older listeners. Her music is versatile, appealing to many different audiences, thanks to her expansive approach, which includes influences ranging from soft pop, lo-fi rock, alternative rock, and orchestral music.
Telling us more about her new single, Cherryy states:
“Songwriter lyricist Eileen King wrote ‘Haunted House’ about the passing away of her uncle who she was really close to. She shared it with me and immediately we felt something special. I recorded, produced, mixed, and supervised the lyrics all at home while collaborating with King using her cell phone and a pair of earphones. A big thanks to technology for this complete remote collaboration of ‘Haunted House.’”
You could say Cherryy’s success has been hard-earned by both herself and the support of her family. She originally hails from Salasar, Rajasthan, a state in Northern India, and as her musical talents became apparent as the years passed, her family moved to the city of Jaipur in pursuit of opportunities for her to grow her singing career. She gained years of experience in Jaipur and then moved to Los Angeles, where she has now gained increased notoriety from a new audience.
Since she started writing songs, she has focused on more mature themes like happiness, sincerity, and struggle. A simple yet effective approach has taken Cherryy to where she is now, writing and producing her own songs, singing in multiple languages, playing multiple instruments, and even producing for other artists. All she needs is her headphones and her phone to record, a pure, uncomplicated formula for success.
