Hey Major—brothers Mikaël Fortin and Rafaël Fortin—bring an important dialogue to the forefront. In partnership with producer Jace Lasek (The Besnard Lakes) and writing partner Franz Schuller (Indica Records), they unveil “Our World” today, which holds deep meaning for the duo.

Rafaël comments on the single saying:

“Originally written by Mick while in high school, ‘Our World’ is a letter written to future generations, to our children. An honest letter, where we denounce the actions and mistakes we made. ‘Our World’ is a request for forgiveness as we pass the flame of our world to the future, hoping they’ll keep the fire alive.”

It’s accompanied by a poignant lyric video created by Kleo Beausoleil. “It’s easier to wash our hands of guilt than face what’s in front of us / Our hunger knows no shame and we are lost,” the lyrics lament.
