Musician Tommy Marz has revealed a new single called “Human Kind,” featuring vocals by Caitlin Evanson and production from Electropoint.

Tommy commented on his time working with Caitlin, who has toured with big names like Taylor Swift, Shakira and Ringo Starr:

“I kept hearing another vocal besides my own every time I listened to the rough mixes. So, I decided to reach out to Caitlin and see if she’d be up for it. When I received the stems back from her, I was completely blown away. It really felt like we had something special with ‘Human Kind.’”

“Human Kind” is the follow-up to Tommy’s last single, “15,” which featured the sweltering guitar work of Jeff Schroeder of the Smashing Pumpkins. That song charted at #25 on the Billboard Dance/Electro chart and #3 on the iTunes Dance Chart.

Speaking of the new single’s messaging, Tommy shares:

“The song was born out of my frustration of the way people treat each other on social media. It’s almost as if we have to come to defaulting to a mean-spirited point of view. You never know what someone is dealing with. It could be dealing with an illness or the loss of a loved one. You just never know. And it works both ways. Treat people the way you’d want to be treated. Choose kindness.”
