Sometimes Y Sizzle During Debut Performance at Rainbow Bar & Grill’s 50th Anniversary [Photos]
Sometimes Y, the band fronted by renowned rap/hip-hop artist Yelawolf, simply sizzled at Rainbow Bar and Grill’s 50th anniversary in L.A!
On Sunday, April 24th, 2022, there was a free-to-the-public, rock n’ roll party to commemorate the Rainbow Bar and Grill’s 50th anniversary. The event, held outside the storied venue on West Hollywood’s Sunset Boulevard, featured some longstanding acts from the L.A. rock scene, such as Pretty Boy Floyd, Stephen Pearcy (RATT), and Steel Panther.
The bill also featured Sometimes Y, fronted by renowned rap/hip-hop artist Yelawolf. The band also includes Shooter Jennings (guitar, keyboards), John Schreffler (guitar, pedal steel), Ted Russell Kamp (bass, acoustic guitar), and Jamie Douglass (drums). The band played in the late afternoon heat for the large and appreciative crowd thronged around the sizable outdoor stage in their debut performance. Yelawolf took the microphone and immediately proved that he is more than a one-trick pony; the man can definitely front a rock and roll band!
The free, five-song set was one to behold and proved that this band is going to quickly be added to many a rocker’s radars.
Sometimes Y Set List:
1. Make Me A Believer
2. Radio
3. Jump Out the Window
4. Rock & Roll Baby
5. Moonshiner’s Run
