London indie sensations Sea Girls smash another sold-out show, this time in Liverpool and, for the tour, they bring Isle of Wight’s upcoming stars Coach Party to join the feel-good vibes.

Having played a much smaller show in Liverpool just a few weeks earlier to a couple of hundred people tonight Coach Party is back this time playing to well over a thousand. Despite having only a small collection of songs this was no problem as they don’t need a huge set time. Having released a six-song EP back in 2020, Party Food, and a brand new EP After Party, I highly recommend having a listen.

Fast-paced indie with a splice of grunge and pop make a great mix while their stage presence makes it all just that bit more fantastic. “Breakdown” is a perfect insight into what these lot are about as is their brand new track called “Flag – Feel Like A Girl,” a powerful political song about women and the recent tragic events the UK has witnessed.

Sea Girls are here with their energetic ways and we are here for two things only. One to have fun and secondly to enjoy their brilliant show. Lead singer/guitarist Henry Camamile is an engaging frontman, throughout the night treating the crowd to plenty of his stories. Overwhelmed by the response from the Liverpool crowd, the vocalist even exclaims that this is the best crowd they have seen to date. Spoiling us with a wide range of tracks including multiple new tracks including a brand new one “Hometown” and is about sticking around.

With each city Sea Girls play in they aim to do a cover from famous bands from the city. The Beatles was obviously going to be the cover but that didn’t happen. Firstly because there are already so many awesome Beatles cover acts and secondly, apparently Henry tried to get Sir Paul McCartney’s attention when they saw him in London but sadly got blanked. Instead, they turn to another huge band, The Wombats, as one of the members didn’t ignore the lads so “Let’s Dance To Joy Division” is played and what a banger from Sea Girls! Even when Henry messed up the song the whole crowd was singing along perfectly leaving the band was speechless and saving the singer’s embarrassment!

It has to be said that his sold-out crowd have been spoilt for highlights here with the set including “Lonely,” “Violet,” “Forever,” “Lie To Me,” and “All I Want To Hear You Say” and all of them going down an absolute treat. Continuing into a short encore for an acoustic rendition of “You Over Anyone” and another brand new track “Sick” leaving you wondering that, after such a phenomenal set, surely their next visit to Liverpool will see these indie lads playing at a much bigger venue?
