Oompa is a Boston-based rapper and spoken word poet who just dropped her single and accompanying music video for “GO”  featuring Dan DeCristofaro. The Dephrase-produced single was, according to a recent press release, “written with carefree Summer vibes in mind, or as Oompa affectionately explains ‘real Gemini season energy.’”

Discussing the track’s meaning, Oompa shares, “This is the love where you slap red-tinted glasses on, and all red flags look like surrender. We know it will end in flames, or with us having to return to the reality of our lives and our city-girl hustle, but for now, we go. We get lost and hope reality doesn’t find us”

Check out the video below, which finds Oompa and a romantic interest (played by her friend and frequent collaborator, Therlande Louissant aka Tloui), and get stoked on the artist’s 10 upcoming highly thematic visuals that will be released in the lead up to her EP, Unbothered.

Stay tuned as Oompa will unveil more new music over the Summer.
