Asphalt Music Group has inked an exclusive deal with crypto industry pioneer and leader, Matthew Snider of NFT Consulting (Portland, OR). The new label relationship will include a new adopted focus on developing a new blockchain-based marketplace for music, media, and digital collectibles, specifically in the NFT marketplace and beyond. “Blockchain technology is an exciting new frontier we are running straight towards. Nashville-based Asphalt Music Group (AMG) was established in January 2020 as an independent record label to help artists keep moving forward. Founder and CEO Aaron Chesling is a well-established country music record producer and industry executive with previous work as a distribution specialist at Universal Music Group assisting in new physical release marketing campaigns for (3 Doors Down, Bon Jovi, and Ludacris), logistics and radio promotions for Big Machine Label Group working closely with the roster (Florida Georgia Line, Maddie & Tae, Thomas Rhett, Steven Tyler, and Taylor Swift) contributing to several #1 hits, and as of recent, serving as the lead A&R for the late and iconic Joe Diffie. Having been nominated for Nashville Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 two years in a row, Chesling has written and produced hundreds of songs for independent, international talent as well as had songwriting credits to top 200 songs on the Billboard charts.
Matthew Snider is an experienced finance, product development and marketing professional with a demonstrated history of success in the banking, treasury and retail/apparel industries. NFT Consulting was born out of the need to seamlessly match the supply of talented artists with the demand of innovative marketplaces where content can be minted, sold and monetized. With deep experience in the cryptocurrency, blockchain, and NFT space, Matthew and his team make it easy for content creators to showcase their work and engage audiences using an all-new medium.
Prior to founding NFT Consulting, Matthew served as a management consultant for both boutique (Slalom) and Big 4 (KPMG) firms, focusing his efforts on data analytics+visualization, strategic marketing, and financial risk management. At Slalom, he pioneered the organizations’ blockchain efforts – leading workshops at the Portland office and educating senior management on go-to-market strategies. Mr. Snider fulfilled his MBA in Financial Decision Systems at Loyola Marymount University. During his tenure with the program, he served as the president of the MBA Student Association as well as president of the LMU Toastmasters Club.
