BAD BRAINS Frontman HR to Release New Solo Album ‘Give Thanks’ October 18th
Mr. HR, the enigmatic lead singer of revered punk band Bad Brains, has confirmed an October 18th, 2019 release of his new solo recording, Give Thanks, via Hardline Entertainment.
Yep, you read that right, Mr. HR, also known as Paul D. Hudson, the enigmatic lead singer of revered punk band Bad Brains, has confirmed an October 18th, 2019 release of his new solo recording. Titled Give Thanks, the album is set to be released via Hardline Entertainment and pre-orders are now live here.
Give Thanks will also be available in various vinyl formats including limited edition versions relegated to 100 copies each in opaque black, red, gold and green all signed and numbered by HR himself.
From a very early point in his career, HR began to follow both the reggae and Rastafarian movements ultimately leading him to pursue a more spiritual life and focus on the positive elements of reggae, rather than punk rock scene. This would lead to the 1984 formation of his reggae-rock group Human Rights (from where he gets “HR”) whose music spoke (and still speaks) to today’s youth, “encouraging them to practice gratitude, to never give up on their dreams, and to live in unity.”
