What might be the last place you’d want to source your fresh meat is also the first place you should head for quality dance rock. We’ve partnered with Swiss duo Blind Butcher to offer a fine cut of music via a free download of their track “6300.” The skilled twosome features Luzern, Switzerland based-musicians Christian Aregger and Roland Bucher who, in tandem, have created an ideal blend of minimalist, playful and danceable electronic rock.
The duo has now reached the time for their third album, the eloquently titled Piss Me A Rainbow in which Aregger and Bucher feel comfortable enough to indulge in their ideas and let them develop in a free-spirited type of fashion. Even if they faced technical problems in incorporating some of these far-out ideas of theirs, they would persist and find a way to make it work each and every time. Check out the download above and more of their tunes here.
To make it work, Aregger and Bucher concocted some creative musical solutions, keeping only the essential parts of songs and combining them in many imaginative ways. Slowly but surely, new music came together for Blind Butcher and if there is one defining characteristic about Piss Me A Rainbow it’s that it was made to be performed on a stage. So if you’re looking for some album rock experience you’ve come to the wrong band! Commenting on the song, the guys stated, “‘6300,’ a journey beyond our imagination. Science fiction. Space disco. Blind Butcher… Is there anybody out there?”
