Fate DeStroyed @ Malone’s Concert Venue (Santa Ana, CA) on July 27, 2018 [Photos & Show Review]
Los Angeles-based female-fronted metal act, Fate DeStroyed, made their live debut at Malone’s and concertgoers left thinking “Wow!”. Rarely does a debut show go off so well.
Female-fronted metal groups are dominating the scene right now. We have Lacuna Coil, In This Moment, Halestorm, Arch Enemy… I could go on and on… Friday night, in Santa Ana, I was able to witness a new band that is ready to dominate as a must-see female-fronted metal act, Fate DeStroyed. The Los Angeles-based act is already taking the internet by storm with their first single “Break Free”, and second release We Fall. Fate DeStroyed’s upcoming self-titled EP is co-produced by the band and Carlton Bost (Orgy, Deadsy, The Dreaming).
The lead music video, “Break Free,” by the amazing Matt Zane, shows our front lady Franccesca De Struct with hooks in her back, literally trying to break free. The video is so beautiful and dark, I can’t wait to see what Zane does with their next clip, already confirmed and moving forward.
The band debuted live at Malone’s, and I left thinking “Wow!”. I have never seen a debut show go so well. Fate DeStroyed has been working hard, and it showed through their live performance. The set, although short, was energetic and got everyone moving. The band has shows beginning to pile up, including with Orgy on 9/23, Wasteland Weekend on 9/29, and Wednesday13 and Davey Suicide on 11/24.
“Break Free” of your work for a few minutes and watch Fate DeStroyed’s newest video.
