It’s the hottest day of the year so far in the UK and the bars are full of football fans out watching England play their final World Cup Group game against Belgium. For 800 fans packed into the Albert Hall though, tonight was about spending time in the company of Kiefer Sutherland, a man known more for their acting career than their musical output. Sutherland himself acknowledges this as he thanks fans for turning out in the heat to “hear a bunch of songs you’ve never heard before.”

In Manchester as part of his Reckless tour, Sutherland has one album of material, Down In A Hole, already under his belt with another one, Reckless on the way. Again the actor-turned-musician joked with the crowd about only having about fifteen songs to play padding out his set with a few well selected covers. There was an air of anticipation from the crowd as Sutherland took to the stage with a good percentage not knowing what to expect from the star of hit TV show 24. Straight-up country music was the order of the day and, complete with cowboy hat, Sutherland looked and sounded the part giving fans an interesting insight into his life away from the big screen.

Set List:
Run To Him
Something You Love
Reckless
Going Home
I’ll Do Anything
Faded Pair Of Blue Jeans
Open Road
Can’t Stay Away
Blame It On Your Heart
The Bottle Let Me Down
This Is How It’s Done
Honey Bee
All She Wrote
Down in a Hole
Rebel Wind
Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door
Agave

I have an unhealthy obsession with bad horror movies, the song Wanted Dead Or Alive and crap British game shows. I do this not because of the sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll lifestyle it affords me but more because it gives me an excuse to listen to bands that sound like hippos mating.
