Post-rock trio Darklands are mapping out the rebuilding phase with their new album stream for “Hate It Here” which you can hear below. The trio was started back in 2013 in Rhode Island and conjure up some DIY hardcore with the pensive shoegaze of Built To Spill and early Sonic Youth. Their music is aimed at fusing the members’ personal toils and triumphs with the sounds of their heroes.
“Hate It Here was written in between all the alone time that comes after a sad-ass breakup, a time when all you can do is reflect on how, after almost 30 years of existence, absolutely nowhere feels like home,” commented singer-guitarist Sam Patrick of the record.
