SOUNDSCAPE Return! Band Armed with “Insatiable” New Lyric Video [Exclusive Premiere]
Connecticut-based progressive metal quartet Soundscape — back with new music as of Friday, April 13th — have debuted the lyric video for their new single “Insatiable”!
You’re about halfway through your week at work and we’ve got something to help put the pep back in your step. Led by Sacred Oath frontman Rob Thorne, the Connecticut-based progressive metal quartet Soundscape — back with new music as of Friday, April 13th — have debuted the lyric video for their new single “Insatiable”. With the ability to purchase via iTunes, Apple Music and other DSPs going live on Friday AM, this is the first new music from the band (which also includes guitarist Todd Rose, bassist Scott Waite and drummer Lou Caldarola) since 2009’s Grave New World.
There’s a lot of activity to come from the bustling, reactivated Soundscape camp but, for now, get pumped on the new single of which Rob had the following heavy concepts to note:
“This song is all about addiction and the power it wields on both sides. As a father of 3 children, I see what’s going on around me – kids sitting in groups staring down at their phones not speaking to each other, kids choosing to Face Time in to a party instead of actually go. It’s weird. They’re addicted to the illusion that social media is a better experience than the world that’s happening right in front of them, and, honestly, I think it’s as scary as the opioid problem. That’s why we draw those parallels in the lyric video. And look at the companies that are profiting. Apple, Facebook, Verizon, Purdue Pharma… are they really making the world a better place? Really?”
