Toronto post-punk trio WHIMM are happy to present their new album A Stare Ajar, streaming now in its entirety.
Toronto post-punk trio WHIMM are happy to present their new album A Stare Ajar, streaming now in its entirety. To capture the feverish sound on their debut LP, WHIMM worked with producer Dean Tzenos from abrasive industrial punks Odonis Odonis. The album’s nine tracks were refined again and again over the course of many months, both onstage in front of audiences and in their garage, constantly rehearsing. Despite all the practice, the band intentionally limted recording sessions to two very busy days with engineer Ian Gomes at Toronto’s Union Sound (Fucked Up, METZ, Greys).
