Today, we’re delighted to share with you “Strange Ways”, a dope, chilled-out track from Los Angeles, CA-based artist, Coolzey and Toronto producer/musician Fresh Kils. Taken from the upcoming release Kilzey, due October 27th, 2017, via Public School Records, the single also features and additional verse by Dominique LaRue.
While the band’s sound can be dubbed “lounge rap” or “nerdcore” — and fuses hip-hop with alternative rock and more — “Strange Ways” is at its heart a bright dancehall-punk jam which showcases this teams ability to step outside their hip-hop realm and “take that inspiration through a myriad of genres without fear of experimentation.”
Pre-order a physical and/or digital copy of Kilzey on Bandcamp and sample a couple other tunes while you’re there.
