DEAD STARS Ponder if They’re “Happy or Sad” in New Song Stream
After recently releasing the stream for “Pink Clouds,” Brooklyn’s Dead Stars has released another track called “Happy or Sad.”
After recently releasing the stream for “Pink Clouds,” Brooklyn’s Dead Stars has released another track called “Happy or Sad.” The song comes from the band’s new LP Perfect Patterns. The album is the follow up to last year’s Bright Colors and features lots of crunchy guitars, infectious pop melodies and some ’90s nostalgia.
Perfect Patterns still finds Dead Stars embracing their love of fuzzed-out slacker vibes and pop sensibilities, the album takes a turn towards more aggressive guitar playing, minimalist song structures and stripped down arrangements. “Pink Clouds” is a great example as it is explosive and high energy, built around a simple guitar riff and it’s all done in less than three minutes. Sounds good to us.
