Brooklyn band Dead Stars has released a stream for “Pink Clouds,” the lead single to their latest LP Perfect Patterns, due out on September 1st. The album is the follow up to last year’s Bright Colors and features lots of crunchy guitars, infectious pop melodies and some ’90s nostalgia.
Perfect Patterns still finds Dead Stars embracing their love of fuzzed-out slacker vibes and pop sensibilities, the album takes a turn towards more aggressive guitar playing, minimalist song structures and stripped down arrangements. “Pink Clouds” is a great example as it is explosive and high energy, built around a simple guitar riff and it’s all done in less than three minutes. Sounds good to us.
