San Francisco, CA-based heavy metal duo, Hatchets For Hands are streaming a new single titled “Mistress Death” off their forthcoming EP. The song tackles the growing issue of opiate abuse and will be on the pending early 2017 release.
“The American opioid epidemic is much worse than many want to acknowledge,” says the band. “We’ve experienced the death of more family and friends than we care to recall as a direct result of these dark and unforgiving substances. “Mistress Death” is a personal track inspired by our experiences around addiction and drug-related death.”
Hatchets keeps the music simple and traditionally heavy with hints of influence across the spectrum of the metal genre.
