Together George Pinto (vocals), Jim King (guitars, synths), Erik Pedtke (bass), and Bran X (drums) form the Chicago-based electronic rock/post-punk band, Killwave. The group released their new album, Death By Distortion, on May 5th, 2015, and today we’re pleased to offer a free download of the track “Shake.”
Death By Distortion was recorded and produced by Jim King while mixing and mastering came from Jamie Carter. Killwave, active since 2010, list some of their influences as acts such as Joy Division, The Horrors, Gary Numan and TV on the Radio. This siad, they do boast their own unique sound, one which at times also features hints of darkwave, Brit pop, industrial rock.
