Free Fall – “Power & Volume”

Power & Volume is the latest release from the Swedish rock act Free Fall and is one heck of a retro throwback disc with nods to the genre’s masters including AC/DC, Rush, and Led Zeppelin to name but a few. That being said, Power & Volume is NOT a mere clone of these bands’ work!

I am not sure where to start because really everything here is top-notch; there are great riffs, lots of killer leads, bass lines that are unfreaking believable, and vocals that are both beautifully raw and bluesy. Power & Volume is a record I can’t recommend highly enough; it is terrific. If you’re at all a fan of the aforementioned acts or the hard rock genre in general, then I suggest you pick this one up. It’s absolutely addictive!
