Fates Warning @ The Studio at Webster Hall (New York, NY) on November 23, 2013
The Studio at Webster Hall is a place where new bands go to get discovered. Or where old bands go to get re-discovered. The latter case in Fates Warning, the CT-based progressive rock band formed in the 80’s. My favorite rock sub-genre, drummer Mike Portnoy once said that Fates Warning were the leader in this genre and inspired Dream Theater. The crowd at Webster was lively as Fates Warning front man Ray Adler crisply belted out old and new tunes from their 11 studio albums. Many die-hard where right on top of Adler singing along with his every word.
