If you’re looking for the right mixture of hardcore and punk then you’ll probably want to check out the track “Weddings and Funerals” from new band Black Coffee. Black Coffee formed barely two years ago in January 2011 in Houston, Texas and was conceived of by Ryan Taylor after the bands Titan Blood and The Burden both broke up. Their members played with several of Texas’ best hardcore bands, including Your Mistake, Ten Crowns, Fight Pretty and The Burden.
Black Coffee’s first 7″ was recorded back in January 2012, released via Death Exclamations, and a tape version through through the infamous Give Up sub-label Sister Sound. The latest release from Black Coffee is due out at the end of February. For fans of seriously pissed off, raw and unhinged hardcore-punk, Black Coffee is right up your alley.
