The new album’s sound can be described as really well done post-punk. It shows a real maturation in the musicianship of the four band members as well as a tighter and more assured overall sound. Lead singer Dan’s lyrics alternate between images of defiant despair and love-sick yearning, good evidence of why he has been referred to as Vancouver’s “post-punk poet laureate.” Check out the song “Your Hand in Mine” available here for free download.
