Wakefield, England is home to Rock / Post Hardcore Cold Summer are a post-hardcore band that just released their debut EP Transitions this past January. The band spent a lot of the end of 2011 writing songs to come up with their most refined and revitalized material ever. Soon after the release of the EP, Cold Summer began playing live shows, the first of which were spent supporting End of a Year and Aficionado. Not satisfied resting on their laurels, after the release of Transitions, Cold Summer also returned to their practice space to write and focus on putting out another release sooner rather than later.
By April 2012 the band was again in the studio recording, which resulted in the release of yet another EP called Wake. This new EP presents a more polished version Cold Summer, reflecting their huge live sound along with new songs that show a musical maturity. In preparation for the release, Cold Summer has been playing several shows with some more definitely to come throughout the rest of the Summer.
