AfterpartY – “We Come Unarmed”
AfterpartY’s catchy new EP is packed full of tracks to keep a party going. They have an unpretentious vibe to their spunky sound which definitely matches their name. AfterpartY’s catchy new EP is packed full of tracks to keep a party going. They have an unpretentious vibe to their spunky sound which definitely matches their name. There aren’t any songs which would make you want to fall asleep, even the acoustic song has some bounce to it. The band has a very 80’s sound and is a mix of pop, synth, garage, disco and other musical elements. AfterpartY is a band that could be really fun to dance to at their concerts just because it’s so upbeat and vocalist Kristina B has so much energy.
The music is super fun and kind of unique; a great album if you just want to throw on some background music. There are no brilliant guitar riffs, and nothing new and exciting in each song. Each song sounds different from the last, but there are no special solos or any musical genius. The guitars stand out as the best part of the album. AfterpartY makes some feel good music that grows on you the more you hear it. At the end of the day however, it’s not the best party ever. [ END ]
