Phoenix, Arizona-based doom metal band, Mosara has just unveiled a punchy little two-track demo to close out 2019. The tracks “I Cain” and “Clay and Iron,” which were recorded, mixed and mastered at Audioconfusion by Jalipaz Nelson, act as a window into the forthcoming album the group is set to record in spring 2020.
The demo dropped on November 29th and may be streamed and/or purchased via Bandcamp. Morara’s current lineup consists of founding guitarist and vocalist Tony Gallegos (Enirva, Twingiant), guitarist Nikos Mixas (Twingiant), bassist Kristoffer Reynolds (Beira), and drummer John Quin (Authority Zero/Secrets of Lost Empires).
Speaking of the new release, Nikos Mixas noted, “It’s been a long time coming and we’re really happy that we finally have something for people to listen to. It basically legitimizes the band. It took a little while to get our asses in the studio because we were tinkering with the sound of the band and we also had to replace a member a few months ago. The two songs that we recorded for this demo have been in the rotation for awhile, but the new material is way more intricate and we should start pre-production on a full-length next spring.”
