SATHANAS’ New Track Will Have You Soaring “Upon The Wings Of Desecration” [Exclusive Premiere]
With lighthearted topics centering around anti-Christianity, the apocalypse, and subsequent fall of mankind, you’ve got to check out SATHANAS’ latest track, “Upon The Wings Of Desecration”, off their pending Transcending Obscurity Records release.
For some, Pittsburgh, PA’s blackened thrash metal three-piece, SATHANAS might be an unknown act, but that doesn’t imply that this group isn’t worthy of your time. Around since 1988, the crew — which includes musicians Paul Tucker (guitar, vocals), Bill Davidson (bass), and Jim Strauss (drums) — is gearing up to release their 10th, yes 10th full-length album on July 10th. The eight-track affair Necrohymns will be issued via Transcending Obscurity Records (pre-order here) and is just as volatile as the band’s past efforts.
With lighthearted topics centering around anti-Christianity, the apocalypse, and subsequent fall of mankind, today’s song premiere is of the sixth track, “Upon The Wings Of Desecration”. SATHANAS continue to serve up is tight-as-hell metal that, despite their lack of mass recognition, is super-deserving of more extreme metal fans’s time. When asked about the new music, the band simply commented as follows: “Sathanas play old school black death metal with a sulfuric attack armed by Lucifer. Our metal legions shall gather for the Necrohymns!”
Now that you’ve heard the new tune, check out the previous single “At The Left Hand Of Satan”.
