Do NOT Avoid the “Black Ice” in VOODOO DIAMOND’s New Music Video [Exclusive Premiere]
London, England-based metal trio, Voodoo Diamond are showing off their rad new release, Darkness Becomes It, out now via Musicarchy Media, with the video for lead single “Black Ice”!
Today, June 22nd, is the day that London, England-based metal trio, Voodoo Diamond release their new album Darkness Becomes It via Musicarchy Media (order physical copies here and find it on iTunes as well). Today also happens to be the day that we’re helping the guys debut their brand new video for the lead single “Black Ice”!
Somewhat of a Trivium and As I Lay Dying hybrid, the band — which currently includes musicians Filipe Martins (lead guitar, vocals), Alex Dias (vocals) and Doug Rimington (bass) — actually blend many different genres and even came about their moniker through a shared fondness of all things Jimi Hendrix. However they do it doesn’t matter, because, as most will agree the final output is hard-hitting and instantly warrants for exploration!
Commenting on their single’s brand new video, Filipe had the following to say:
“I am really proud of it! In this song we really spread our wings and made it our heaviest work to date. We were always a bit adamant to using screams, but this song really called for it! The lyrics and instrumental are both really dark and really spit out how we feel about recent events. I think the video really captures that darkness!”
