The Mommyheads have put out a stream of their latest track “Phantom Limb.” The song comes from the band’s first new album in six years, Soundtrack To The World’s End. This is the band’s eleventh full-length record and is the follow up to 2012’s Vulnerable Boy. It marks the third new record of all new material since the group reunited about a decade ago after a ten year hiatus.

The Mommyheads formed all the way back in 1987 in New York City by Adam Elk and then put out a string of releases throughout that first decade. This culminated with the release of their Geffen Records’, self-titled album that came out in 1997. Following the death of the band’s original drummer Jan Kotik, the band reunited for a tribute show in New York City. Shortly after, the band members decided to reform and released an album every year between 2008 and 2012.
