Our Lady Peace (w/ Collective Soul, Tonic, Soul Asylum) @ WTFest (Brantford, ON) on July 29, 2017 [Photos & Show Review]
WTFest 2017 rocked the banks of the Grand River in Brantford, ON and we caught up with Soul Asylum, Tonic, Collective Soul, and headliners Our Lady Peace.
A sunny Saturday in July, a music festival in a park, reason enough for a “road trip”. Brantford is a very chill town on the banks of the Grand river. Roughly an hour’s drive from the GTA. What better place to host the WTFest… and I think I could find 6,500 fans that would agree with me.
The festival grounds were in the Lions Park where several bands rocked on two stages over the course of the day. The “all-Canadian” talent featured the likes of Soul Asylum, Tonic, Collective Soul, and headliners Our Lady Peace.
I really liked the set up of the festival grounds; the main stage was at one end, surrounded by beverage concessions on one side, food trucks galore as well as merch stands on the other. It was cool because you could be in the midst of swarms of rocking fans one moment, then stroll off checking out what to eat & drink the next. There was even a trip give-away raffle where some lucky festival goer won a trip to Mexico.
At the end of the day, I can just say “well done” WTFest! It was a beautiful day of sunshine and ’90s rock classics.
