Cemetery Road – “Silence In Solitude” [EP] [Album Review]
One of the big benefits of writing for PureGrainAudio is getting a chance to listen to music that I might not have otherwise heard anywhere else. Along with all of the well-known acts that I review on a regular basis, there is an unending stream of new, upcoming artists looking for exposure. When I am fortunate enough to find a disc that utterly blows me away (as did Silence In Solitude), I consider it a big plus and want to help spread the word as much as possible.

This new release from the Canadian act Cemetery Road is a five song EP that contains massive riffs and a perfect blend of distorted guttural vocals and clean melodic harmonies all propelled along by a chugging, pounding rhythm section that is sure to get your neck snapping in no time at all.
After a few listens through all I can say is, wow! This is some bad-ass metal from an act I suggest you acquaint yourself with as soon as possible. All five of these tracks are heavy, punishing and absolutely fantastic. This EP is genuinely better than a lot of the stuff in market today and I really hope Cemetery Road get the recognition they deserve. If you take metal seriously, like I do, than Silence In Solitude is a record you don’t want to miss.
