Inspired by European melodic metal, Japanese video game music, and Western rock, Slyde combines an in-your-face, hair-swinging high-octane live performance with catchy hooks, strong musicianship and lyrical reflections on today’s society. The band has self-booked and self-promoted numerous tours in Eastern Canada since late-2009, comprising of over 125 dates in the bar circuits, including performances at: Ottawa Bluesfest (2010/2011), Ottawa’s Friends for Peace (2012), Toronto’s IndieWeek (2011/2012), Canadian Music Week (2013) and Wacken Metal Battle (2013), Cornwall’s Arts In The Park (2012) and Cornwall Lift-Off (2013), Maxville’s The Edg3 (2010-2012), and Brockville’s Riverfest (2011).
