The band has self-booked and self-promoted numerous tours in Eastern Canada since late-2009, comprising of over 125 dates in the bar circuits, including performances at: Ottawa Bluesfest (2010/2011), Ottawa’s Friends for Peace (2012), Toronto’s IndieWeek (2011/2012), Canadian Music Week (2013) and Wacken Metal Battle (2013), Cornwall’s Arts In The Park (2012) and Cornwall Lift-Off (2013), Maxville’s The Edg3 (2010-2012), and Brockville’s Riverfest (2011).
Of the band’s four self-released albums, their latest EP, New World Sympathy, was ranked number 4 in DPRP Progressive Rock and Metal Radio’s Top 20 Albums of 2012 (on StroudFM in The UK). With their eye-on-society lyrics and love for high-energy music, Slyde combines explosive progressive rock with current environmental and political topics, forming a fresh, modern sound in today’s rock, metal, and popular music.
