Album Review
This City Ignites – “Streets Of Rage”
Absolutely crushing!!! That is the best way to describe Streets Of Rage, the newest release from the Australian hardcore/metalers, The City Ignites. This disc has all of the essential ingredients of a modern day hardcore/metal record: the guitars are tuned way down, the breakdowns are thunderous and mosh-inducing, and the whole thing is so freaking heavy it will pummel you into submission!

At times I can here hints of The Acacia Strain running through their music, but really, this is simply This City Ignites doing their thing. And doing it incredibly well at that. The only real downside to this release is that it comes in at just over half an hour… not nearly long enough as far as I’m concerned. Streets Of Rage is a terrific effort that is not for the faint at heart.
