Elevate: I Am – “Codependent Carcass” [Free Song Download]
In the wake of a brief hiatus from his long time band (A Static Lullaby) Joe Brown called up long time friend John Martinez (ex A Static Lullaby, Lorene Drive, Lower Definition) and pitched the idea of doing side project together.
In the wake of a brief hiatus from his long time band (A Static Lullaby) Joe Brown called up long time friend John Martinez (ex A Static Lullaby, Lorene Drive, Lower Definition) and pitched the idea of doing side project together. At first glance the idea made sense but with changing tides in their personal lives it was difficult to devote time to a brand new project, especially without any other musicians.
As talks slowly turned into action, John presented some songs he written shortly after the passing of his younger brother. The six-song demo was called the Ghost Eclipse and the band name Elevate: I Am. Joe spent one day listening over the tracks… he fell in love with the atmospheric melody and aggressive riffs. Joe proposed that they use the songs and keep all the integral meanings of the band that John held close to his heart. Behold the birth of Elevate: I Am.
In a trying time for the music industry both monetarily and artistically Elevate: I Am hope to put their dent on a scene in dire need of some substance.
