Dusty Bo – “Throw It All Away” [Song Review]
Down south juke joint junkin’. Without the conglomeration of folks living in the south, you wouldn’t have the juxtaposition of so many great representations of culture. Food, music, religion… etc. It’s the kinship of brotherhood that makes one of the most misunderstood parts of America vibrant. Atlanta, Georgia, Mississippi… you name it. There’s a culture out there that was cultivated by, last but not least, the French Canadians. I hope America doesn’t crossbreed cultures that turn into one bland concoction. Equality is one thing, but mass generation and knocking down borders that need to be left alone is what gives us life and spirit. Without, we will end up with one humdrum existence.
Dusty Bo, Hollywood via Kentucky, gets this with his new excursion “Throw It All Away.” Dusty’s been a long-time runner in a single shot industry. Hit after hit, miss after miss, I think it’s about time someone took notice of this unrecognized talent. Dusty has a very down south sound with an AC/DC razor’s edge cut at times and a vocal limit that cannot be denied. The sad thing about Hollywood is some of us watched it crumble and fall, but with the strength of Dusty Bo’s “Throw It All Away,” all things remain, only the names have changed.
“Summer has come and gone. And the winter is coming on strong.” Let’s hope this is the case when it comes to a pandemic gone wrong, worldwide strong. Dusty Bo is one of those guys that doesn’t go away and, like Willie Nelson says, “One of these days they gotta get around to us old farts,” meaning with or without the music industry, we all shall recognize and realize. You can spend your money however you wish, but I recommend paying the fiddler his dues when Dusty Bo comes around singing his blues.
