Justin Fancy Releases His Sophomore Album ‘Whiskey & Me’
Whiskey & Me is the sophomore album from Canadian Country artist Justin Fancy. His passion for storytelling and his authentic East Coast charm are woven into every lyric and melody of its nine tracks. Tales of everyday experiences of life, love, and self-discovery permeate the album, illustrating his authentic approach to songwriting, which melds classic country songwriting with his distinctive contemporary sound.
The latest single to be released from Whiskey & Me is the mid-tempo “Go Easy,” on which Fancy sets the tone of the album. He tells the story of an uncertain relationship and a bitter pill to swallow with an impending farewell. The album also includes several previously released singles, including “Lie,” on which Fancy confronts the dark spectre of a relationship’s dissolution.
Driven by Justin’s irrefutable sincerity, the song is a powerful break-up anthem that heralds the end of an unhealthy relationship. “Lie” was produced by Fancy along with long-time collaborator Clint Curtis. Two-time Grammy Award winner Greg Wells (Michael Bublé, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood) serves as the Executive Producer on the track.
As a collection of songs, Whiskey & Me reflects Fancy’s commitment to his craft. Every heartfelt lyric and every captivating melody shines through. His ability to capture raw emotions and translate them into songs that resonate with us all is a testament to his artistry and serves as a reminder of the power of authenticity in storytelling through song. In October, Justin will perform five shows across Newfoundland as direct support for Canadian Country superstar George Canyon.
