Due out tomorrow, January 5th, Uncomfortable Knowledge are stoked to unveil the music video for their newest single, “Lifeline.” The song is the fourth to be lifted from the French quintet’s upcoming sophomore album of the same name, Lifeline, which is due out in February 2024.

Hailing from Occitanie, the southernmost administrative region of metropolitan France, this fab fivesome of musicians, as they state, “explores the dark sides of the human soul through hypnotic post-metal mixing heavy riffs and atmospheric passages in order to create a high sounding moving picture.”

Expounding on the themes found in the “Lifeline” single, the band share:

“Being a son and becoming a father. This is a role change that presents a challenge. After all, what do we tell our children when they eventually fly the nest? When they start developing a lifeline of their own? Therein lies a very real quandary.

“This energetic and melodic song, both tender and firm, is a message from a father to his son. A message of love with a strong focus centered around the future.”

Lifeline was mixed by Jonathan Mazzeo (The Agonist, Despised Icon, Beneath the Massacre) and Mastered by Chris Donaldson (Cryptopsy, Get The Shot). The artwork and imagery were created by Reuben Bhattacharya (Slipknot, Black Sabbath, Jinjer, The Black Dhalia Murder, Soilwork, Monuments), and follows the group’s 2021 debut, Black Queen.
